In a game in which neither team shot better than 33% from the floor and combined for 38 turnovers, Lourdes came up on the short end of a 55-48 contest against Rochester (Mich.) on Wednesday evening inside of Garth Pleasant Arena in Rochester Hills, Mich.

Lourdes connected at a 32.7% clip from the field, made just 3-of-15 (20%) three-pointers, and committed 21 miscues while the Warriors shot 31.1% overall, including 7-of-28 (25%) from the long range, and finished with 17 turnovers.

John Kenger said afterwards. "I loved our effort against a really talented and well coached Rochester team."

Rochester led the entire opening quarter until
Sara Semler (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) drained a three-pointer just before the end of the period to give the Gray Wolves an 11-10 lead after 10 minutes. A
Sydney Miller (Huntsville, Ohio/Indian Lake H.S.) triple early in the second gave Lourdes its largest advantage of the day, 14-12, before the Warriors responded with a 10-2 run to pull back in front, a lead the hosts would not relinquish the rest of the way.

Trailing 27-21 at halftime, Lourdes was able to pull within two, 34-32, with just over two minutes to play in the third following a
Riley Raburn (Horton, Mich./Lumen Christi H.S.), but the Warriors scored the final five points of the period to build a seven-point lead heading into the fourth.

Lourdes was within four, 45-41, with four minutes to play in the game before Rochester scored seven unanswered points to build its largest lead of the game, 52-41, with two minutes left and the Warriors held on despite a late 7-1 run by the Gray Wolves.

Ramiah Henry (Toledo, Ohio/Waite H.S.) was the only Gray Wolf to finish in double figures, scoring 11 points, while
Jami Hardy (Perrysburg, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) added nine more.

Devon Valko led Rochester (14-8, 8-5 WHAC) with 21 points while Brooke Fielder added 14 for the Warriors.
