Lourdes won its second consecutive road match on Saturday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves defeated Concordia (Mich.) 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 25-12 inside of Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"We did some good things at times today, but not consistently," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the match. "We have some work to do to get ready for our next match."

The Gray Wolves jumped out quickly, building a 16-4 lead in the opening set, only to watch the Cardinals battle back. Concordia tied the stanza at 19 and eventually built a 22-20 lead, only to see Lourdes score four of the final five points to take set one.

Lourdes jumped in front 10-4 in set two and despite Concordia pulling within three, 17-14, the Gray Wolves scored five straight points to pull away and build a 2-0 lead in the match.

Concordia raced out to a 7-2 lead in the third, on the way to extending the match. Lourdes evened the stanza at 16, but was never able to take the lead down the stretch.

In the fourth set, Lourdes never trailed on the way to closing out the match. Leading 14-10, the Gray Wolves went on a 9-1 run to secure the victory.

Kennedy Ames (Milan, Ohio/Edison H.S.) led Lourdes with a career-high 19 kills while
Michaela Eisenhauer (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta H.S.) added 13 kills while hitting .423.Â
Megan Vayansky (Pickerington, Ohio/North H.S.) and
Annika Devendorf (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion H.S.) both had double-doubles. Vayansky handed out 23 assists and had 17 digs while Devendorf tallied 19 assists and 11 digs.

Alli Plasencio (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) led all players with 33 digs while
Angelica Dippold (Louisville, Ky./Mercy Academy) had 28 more. Â
Kailey Holm (Anthem, Ariz./Boulder Creek H.S.) added 19 digs as the Gray Wolves tallied 121 total for the match.

Delaney Bennett led Concordia (4-19, 1-12 WHAC) with nine kills while Kaitlin Veihl had 26 digs.

Lourdes (10-11, 7-6) will close out its three-match road trip on Wednesday evening against first place Lawrence Tech. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside the Ridler Fieldhouse.
