Lourdes rebounded from back-to-back losses with a 25-17, 25-11, 25-15 sweep of Rochester (Mich.) on Wednesday evening inside of Garth Pleasant Arena in Rochester Hills, Mich.

"We played a pretty solid match tonight," head coach
Greg Reitz said following the win. "Our serve and pass was good which allowed our offense to flow smoothly."

The Gray Wolves raced out to a 6-0 lead in the opening set and never trailed in taking the advantage in the match. The Warriors pulled within one, 16-15, but Lourdes responded with six points in a row to pull away.

A 10-1 run in set two allowed Lourdes to build a 14-5 lead and the Gray Wolves never looked back, hitting .406 in the stanza. In the third frame, the Gray Wolves went on a 14-4 run to pull away and complete the sweep.

Emily Drenth (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South H.S.) led Lourdes with 13 kills and 11 digs while
Annika Devendorf (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion H.S.) also had a double-double with 25 assists and 12 digs.Â

Alli Plasencio (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) had a team-high 20 digs while
Kylee McBride (Peoria, Ariz./Mountain Ridge H.S.) added 13 digs to go along with nine kills while
Angelica Dippold (Louisville, Ky./Mercy Academy) contributed 11 digs.

Jaelynn Block led Rochester (2-27, 1-18 WHAC) with 11 kills, hit .375, and added nine blocks.

Lourdes (12-15, 9-10) will close out the 2019 regular season on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Lima, Ohio to battle the University of Northwestern Ohio. First serve is set for 1 p.m. inside of Racer Gymnasium.
