Lourdes concluded play at the NAIA DII Classic "The Show" on Sunday morning, registering its fourth win in a row as the Gray Wolves defeated Rio Grande 59-53 inside the Meadowview Marriott Resort in Kingsport, Tenn.

The Gray Wolves overcame just 24% shooting and eight turnovers in the first half while falling behind 24-19 at the break. Â Lourdes connected at a 48% clip in the second stanza and turned the ball over just once over the final 20 minutes to rally for the win.

"I thought we did a very nice job in the second half," head coach
Dennis Hopson said after the game. "We seemed very sluggish and slow in the first half, but we were able to keep the game close. We made some big plays late to put us over the hump."

Rio Grande (6-4) led the entire first half, building a 13-4 lead over the game's first seven minutes. The Gray Wolves held the Red Storm without a field goal for a nine-minute span to pull even, 19-19, with 1:17 to play in the opening stanza. Rio Grande responded with the final five points of the period though to build the five-point lead at intermission.

Lourdes still trailed by five, 39-34, with just over 11 minutes to play before making their comeback. An 11-1 run over four minutes put the Gray Wolves in front, 45-40, following a
Little Anderson (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) jumper, and never relinquished the advantage the rest of the way.

The Red Storm pulled within two, 55-53, with 37 seconds remaining, but Lourdes made four free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Clif Snow (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown H.S.) led Lourdes with 19 points while
Kenny Coleman (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) added 14 more.Â
McRay White (Cleveland, Ohio/Garfield Heights H.S.) contributed 11 points off the bench for the Gray Wolves.

Lourdes held a 39-28 advantage on the glass, including a 14-4 edge on the offensive end of the floor.Â
Julian Egbo (Toeldo, Ohio/Rogers H.S.) led all players with 13 rebounds in the contest.

Gunner Short led all players with 31 points for Rio Grande, making 11-of-15 shots from the floor.

Lourdes (7-3) will conclude its road trip on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Dearborn, Mich. to battle Michigan-Dearborn. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the UMD Fieldhouse.
