Head Coach Jo Ann Gordon: In her seventh season on the Lourdes bench, Jo Ann Gordon has a 87-167 (.343) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her 16th season overall as a head softball coach, Gordon has a 239-455 (.344) career mark.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Siena Heights leads the all-time series against Lourdes 9-6 dating back to April 21, 2013.  The Saints swept a twinbill in Adrian, Mich. last season.  Lourdes holds a 4-3 edge at Pacesetter Park.  The Gray Wolves are 4-0 all-time against Rochester (Mich.) in a series that began April 4, 2017.  Last season Lourdes downed the Warriors 3-1 and 5-1 at home.  This is Lourdes' first trip ever to Rochester Hills, Mich.  Northwestern Ohio holds a 10-2 series edge over Lourdes going back to April 5, 2014.  The Racers swept last year's doubleheader at Pacesetter Park and are 6-0 all-time against Lourdes in Lima, Ohio.  Lourdes leads the series against Indiana Tech 7-5 dating back to April 23, 2013.  Last year, the Warriors won a pair of games at Pacesetter Park.  Lourdes is 4-0 all-time in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes fell in its home opener on Wednesday against Concordia (Mich.) 10-5 and 9-1.  After Cornerstone picked up a 5-4 win in game one, the Gray Wolves rebounded with a 7-5 victory in game two on Friday.  Aquinas swept Saturday's doubleheader 9-6 and 6-1.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints had their seven-game winning streak snapped on Sunday with a game two setback against Aquinas.  Ashley Helmink leads the team batting .519 with eight home runs and 43 runs batted in for an offense hitting .367 as a team.  Racquel Ward leads the pitching staff with a 13-3 record and a 2.76 earned run average.  The staff as a whole sports a 3.45 ERA.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors ended an eight-game losing streak on Sunday with a game two victory over Northwestern Ohio and face Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday prior to hosting Lourdes.  Mackenzie Muncy is batting .400 with three homers to pace the offense while Taylor Foy has thrown the most innings on the staff and sports a 7.00 ERA.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have dropped five of their last six games entering the week and head to Madonna Wednesday before hosting Lourdes.  Grace Jackson leads UNOH with a .488 average, two home runs, and 24 runs batted in for an offense hitting .349.  Aubrey Brunst is 7-5 with a 3.22 ERA in the circle to lead a staff with a 3.70 ERA.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors dropped a doubleheader at Madonna on Sunday which ended a four-game winning streak.  Indiana Tech heads to Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday and hosts Lawrence Tech on Saturday before Lourdes visits.  Brianna Glass leads the offense with a .467 batting average while Indiana Tech is hitting .304 as a team.  The pitching staff sports a 5.05 ERA led by Jaden Romero's 2-1 record and a 2.70 ERA.

Going Deep: Marissa Kostick hit her fourth home run of the season against Cornerstone on Friday, tied for fourth most in a single season in program history.  The senior now has 12 career round-trippers, tied with Megan Mosiniak (2013-2016) for second most all-time at Lourdes.

Streaking: Marissa Kostick has hit safely in each of her last four games, and has reached base safely in 11 consecutive contests.  Olivia Stanton has reached base in seven consecutive games after reaching in nine straight earlier this season.

Fielding Her Position: Tiana Card has been stellar defensively for the Gray Wolves this season, both fielding her position in the circle and at first base.  Having faced 85 total chances, third most on the squad, she has yet to commit an error in the field.

Swiping Bases: Allie Teeple is a perfect 7-for-7 on the base paths in stolen base attempts for the Gray Wolves this season.  As a team, Lourdes is 20-of-21 overall in the first 20 games of the year.

Newcomers Contributing to the Offense: Three of Lourdes' top six hitters this season are newcomers to the program in 2019.  Freshman Allie Teeple is batting .353, second on the squad, while junior transfer Kayla Gauthier has posted a .300 average.  Gauthier is second on the squad with 10 runs batted in.  Morghan Russell is also having a solid freshman season, after playing soccer in the fall, hitting .286 as a rookie.

This and That: The 11 hits in game one against Aquinas matched a season high for the Gray Wolves ... seven runs in game two against Cornerstone were the second most scored by Lourdes this season ... Marissa Kostick, Shylee Schmeltz, and Alyssa Ziegler have started every game this season.
