Lourdes scored three times in the first half on the way to a 3-1 victory over Rio Grande on Sunday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium for the Gray Wolves' second victory in a row.

Freshman Abigail Mann (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) started the scoring for the Gray Wolves at the 13:41 mark.  Annah Zacerkowny (Lasalle, Ont./Sandwich H.S.) drew the assist after sending a ball through the middle to Mann on the right side of the box.  For the freshmen duo, it marked the first points in both of their careers.

Mann added to the lead just 10 seconds later.  Following a turnover, she sent a blast from more than 20 yards out that deflected off the goalkeeper's hands into the top of the net to make it 2-0 Gray Wolves.  Her two goals in 10 seconds are the fastest two in program history.

Rio Grande (0-4) got on the scoreboard at the 20:34 mark.  Following a foul in the penalty area, Ambar Torres connected on a penalty kick to cut the Lourdes lead in half.

Morgan Henkle (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) added her first career goal with just 6:59 remaining before halftime.  She connected on a header in the box after Elaina Hillman's (Woodhaven, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) free kick led to her first collegiate assist.

Lourdes outshot the Red Storm 15-10 in the opening 45 minutes, and continued the pressure in the second half, finishing the match with a 30-12 shot advantage, but was unable to add to its lead.  Jayla Brown made 10 saves in goal for Rio Grande while Kerstyn Williams (Taylor, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) made six stops in goal for the Gray Wolves in the victory.

Lourdes (2-1) will close out its four-match homestand on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves host Bethel (Ind.).  Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
