Lourdes posted its school-record 10
th straight victory on Friday evening, as the Gray Wolves went on the road to defeat Miami-Middletown 82-63 inside of Bennett Recreation Center in Middletown, Ohio.

Lourdes shot 49.2% from the floor but overcame 21 turnovers and just 45.8% (11-of-24) shooting from the free throw line to earn the non-conference win. The 14
th-ranked Gray Wolves held a 45-31 advantage on the glass, including a 19-12 edge in offensive rebounding.

"This was a good game for us in the sense we saw some things we need to work on," head coach
Dennis Hopson said afterwards. "We were working on some new defenses tonight which kept us aggressive."

The Gray Wolves wasted little time building their lead. Following
Clif Snow's (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown H.S.) tip-in following an offensive rebound, Lourdes had a 24-6 lead just eight minutes into the contest. The lead grew to 23, 33-10, following a dunk by
McRay White (Cleveland, Ohio/Garfield Heights H.S.) at the 7:11 mark of the opening stanza.Â

Lourdes would not score for the next three minutes, as the ThunderHawks scored nine straight points to pull within 14. The Gray Wolves were able to push the lead back to 18, 43-25, heading into the locker room as Snow scored 15 points in the opening 20 minutes while
Julian Egbo (Toledo, Ohio/Rogers H.S.) added 12 more.

In the second half, the Gray Wolves never allowed the lead to get lower than 15, but never led by more than 24 in the wire-to-wire victory.

Snow finished the game with 25 points and eight rebounds while Egbo added 14 points.Â
Mike Bruce (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ypsilanti H.S.) and
McRay White (Cleveland, Ohio/Garfield Heights H.S.) each added nine points.

Tavell Sims led Miami-Middletown (5-9) with 19 points off the bench.

Lourdes (13-3) returns to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening, as the Gray Wolves host the University of Northwestern Ohio. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. inside of the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
