Concordia (Mich.) scored the match-winning goal with one second remaining in the match on Saturday afternoon as the Cardinals rallied to defeat Lourdes 2-1 at Cardinal Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.

With the match tied at one, Kendra Lewis lofted a shot from 20 yards out that found the top left of the goal as time was expiring, but the officials came together and ruled that there was one second left on the clock, allowing the go-ahead goal.Â

Abigail Mann (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) took advantage of a turnover in the Cardinals' end and scored from 20 yards out just 5:10 into the match to give the Gray Wolves their first lead of the season.

The Gray Wolves maintained a 1-0 lead into halftime in a defensive battle, with just seven total shot attempts between the two schools in the opening 45 minutes.

Concordia (3-1, 3-1 WHAC) tied the match with 6:21 remaining in regulation as Isabel Stropich free kick found Samantha Golchuk in the box for the equalizer, leading to the dramatic final seconds.

The Cardinals finished the match with a 17-13 shot advantage, including a 10-6 edge on goal.Â
Kerstyn Williams (Taylor, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) made eight saves in net for the Gray Wolves to keep the match tight. Hayley Jacobson had five saves for Concordia.

Lourdes (0-5, 0-4) will close out the fall portion of its schedule next Saturday as the Gray Wolves host Rochester (Mich.). Kickoff is set for noon at Wildcat Stadium.
