Ohio Christian took the lead less than two minutes into the contest on Tuesday evening and despite Lourdes battling back to tie the game in the second half, the Gray Wolves would never could forge in front, and fell to the Trailblazers 74-69 inside of the Maxwell Center in Circleville, Ohio.

"We played a streaky game tonight," head coach
John Kenger said afterwards. "They executed their game plan and we did not. We had too many missed layups at the end of the day. We will work hard to try and get ready for Saturday."

Ohio Christian pulled in front 17-9 at the 3:31 mark of the opening period before holding a four-point advantage after 10 minutes. The Trailblazers pushed the lead to 10, 32-22, with 6:40 remaining in the half. Lourdes battled back, closing the half on a 19-9 run, tying the game on a three-pointer by
Gabby Stover (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington H.S.) late in the period to pull even at the break.

The game was tied at 41 early in the third when the Trailblazers went on a 16-3 run in less than seven minutes to build their largest lead of the game at 13 before the Gray Wolves scored seven of the final eight points in the stanza to pull back within seven heading into the fourth quarter.

Ohio Christian (3-0) pushed the lead back to 10 before Lourdes fought back one final time. A
Lauryn Gray (Piqua, Ohio/Piqua H.S.) triple with just over two minutes to play made it a three-point game 67-64. The Gray Wolves were unable to get any closer though as the Trailblazers made five of six free throws in the final minute to secure the win.

Stover led Lourdes with a career-high 21 points while
Krisah Lewis (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) added 10 more as the Gray Wolf bench tallied 42 of the team's 69 points. The Gray Wolves shot just 35% from the floor, including 31.6% (6-of-19) from three-point range.

Ohio Christian had a trio of 20-point scorers, including Rachel Gillum who tallied 20 points and 14 rebounds. Rachel Bolyard and Helaina Limas added 20 points each as well for the Trailblazers. Ohio Christian shot 43.6% from the floor to overcome 23 turnovers.

Lourdes (1-2) will return home to the Ebeid Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon to host Grace Christian. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m.
