Lourdes continued its spring trip at the Fortune Road Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Fla. on Thursday, defeating Fisher 14-0 before falling to Carlow in eight innings by the score of 7-6.

With the Fisher win, Lourdes registered back-to-back shutouts for the first time since April 6, 2014, when the Gray Wolves blanked Indiana Tech in both ends of a doubleheader.Â

The Gray Wolves scored in all four innings, banging out 12 hits in the contest. Eight of the nine starters registered a hit and seven different Lourdes hitters tallied a RBI in the win.

Lourdes batted around in the opening inning, scoring five times, including a two-run triple by
Katie Devine (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green H.S.).Â
Hailey Cramer (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) doubled home two runs in the second as part of a three-run inning while
Erin Manley (Ottawa Lake, Mich./Whiteford H.S.) tallied a two-run double in the third. In the fourth,
Shylee Schmeltz (Gibsonburg, Ohio/Gibsonburg H.S.) tallied a two-run double in the fourth.

Cramer had a three RBI game while
Emily Wallace (Thornville, Ohio/Lakewood H.S.) had three hits. Schmeltz and Manley each scored three times in the game.

Ashley Riley (Oak Harbor, Ohio/Oak Harbor H.S.) went the distance in her first collegiate shutout (1-2), allowing just two hits, both in the opening inning. She struck out seven while walking just three.

Corrie Edstrom suffered the loss (0-4) for Fisher (0-7), allowing the 14 runs on 12 hits.

Carlow (2-7) took an early lead against Lourdes in the second game, scoring four times in the first inning.

Lourdes battled back, pulling to within one after a three-run third.Â
Abby Cantrell (Gibsonburg, Ohio/Gibsonburg H.S.) and Cramer each delivered run-scoring hits.Â

The Celtics pushed the lead to 5-3 with a run in the bottom of the third before Manley tallied a run-scoring single in the fourth. In the fifth,
Ella Leonard (Lorain, Ohio/Midview H.S.) tied the game with her first collegiate hit.

The game moved into extra innings, with the international tie-breaker in effect. Schmeltz reached on a bunt single with one out and Cramer came around to score as the throw was muffed, putting the Gray Wolves on top 6-5.

In the bottom of the eighth, a Carlow double tied the game and the Celtics picked up the win on a two-out error.

Manley had three hits and Cramer added two more as part of a 10-hit attack for the Gray Wolves.Â

Alysa Fairman earned the complete game win (1-1) for Carlow while
Milena Applegate (Jerome, Mich./Lumen Christi H.S.) suffered the loss (1-2) in relief, despite not allowing an earned run.

Lourdes (3-5) is scheduled to return to Fortune Road on Friday. The Gray Wolves' game against Indiana-South Bend has been cancelled, as the Titans did not travel to Florida due to COVID-19. Lourdes will face William Penn in a 12:15 p.m. contest.
