Fifth-ranked Georgia Gwinnett scored in just three innings on Sunday afternoon, but plated at least four runs each time on the way to a 17-3 victory over Lourdes at the Grizzly Baseball Complex in Lawrenceville, Ga.

The Grizzlies sent 13 batters to the plate in the second inning, scoring nine times, including a grand slam by Nick Barnes to take the lead for good.

Cameron Gallo (Mason, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick H.S.), taking advantage of a throwing error.Â

After Georgia Gwinnett (21-2) added four more runs in the fourth, an error and a passed ball allowed the Gray Wolves to find the scoreboard again. Another four-run inning in the fifth pushed the lead to 17-2 before
Matt McEachern (Burlington, Ont./Hayden Secondary H.S.) walked and eventually scored in the fifth.

The Grizzlies pounded out 16 hits in the win, seven against starter
