Lourdes played extra soccer for the seventh time this season, finishing the regular season with a 1-1 double-overtime draw against Cornerstone on Saturday afternoon at the Soccer Stadium in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Kylee Adams put Cornerstone (5-8-2, 2-7-1 WHAC) on the scoreboard just 10:30 into the match, tallying an unassisted goal.

The Golden Eagles carried that 1-0 lead into intermission, outshooting the Gray Wolves 6-2 in the opening 45 minutes.

Lourdes evened the match with 34:48 to play.Â
Abigail Mann (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) sent a ball into the box from the right side and found
Chloe Shaffer (Rossford, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) in the penalty area. The junior finished the play for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Neither side would find the back of the net again on the afternoon, despite playing an extra 20 minutes. Cornerstone finished with a 12-8 shot advantage, including a 3-2 edge in the two extra sessions.Â

Emmy Rodger (Romeo, Mich./Romeo H.S.) made four saves in net for Lourdes, including three during the overtime periods while Angelina VanderBeek made six stops in net for the Golden Eagles.

Lourdes (8-3-7, 5-2-4) finishes the regular season with its best winning percentage in program history, posting the first winning record in school history. The Gray Wolves will begin play in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament on Wednesday. The league will announce the official tournament pairings this weekend.
