Lourdes honored its two seniors,
Sara Semler (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) and
Lauryn Gray (Piqua, Ohio/Piqua H.S.) on Sunday afternoon, but a cold shooting afternoon by the Gray Wolves allowed Rochester (Mich.) to leave the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center with a 63-50 over the hosts.
"This was not the result we wanted on Senior Day but we need to learn from today and keep moving forward," head coach
John Kenger said following the game. "We will miss Lauryn and Sara next year. They are special young ladies and I'm glad we could take time and honor them today."
The Gray Wolves shot just 28.1% from the floor, including 4-of-20 (20%) on the afternoon and despite pulling down 22 offensive rebounds, Lourdes managed just five second chance points.
Trailing 12-7 midway through the opening period, Lourdes went on a 12-3 run to close the stanza with a four-point advantage. The Gray Wolves managed just four points in the second quarter as Rochester pulled in front for good, taking a 35-23 lead into the locker room.

With the Gray Wolves trailing 50-42 with under nine minutes left in the game, Rochester went on a 13-4 spurt to pull away and remain undefeated in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.
Mary Liedel (Erie, Mich./Mason H.S.) led Lourdes with 19 points and nine rebounds while
