Lourdes managed just three hits on Tuesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves were defeated by Thomas More 3-0 at Thomas More Field in Crestview Hills, Ky.
 
A triple and a groundout put the Saints on the board in the third before the hosts added a RBI single in the fourth.  A Gray Wolf error led to an unearned run in the fifth as Thomas More (3-13) added an insurance tally.
 
The Gray Wolves were unable to put more than one runner on base in any inning and did not have a runner past first base until Kim Waters (Belleville, Mich./Lincoln H.S.) registered a pinch-hit single.  Annalisse Palma (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview H.S.), for whom Waters hit, reentered, stole second, and advanced to third on a groundout before being stranded.
 
Milena Applegate (Jerome, Mich./Lumen Christi H.S.) started in the circle and worked four innings, allowing just two runs and five hits before Ashley Roth (LaRue, Ohio/Elgin H.S.) tossed the final two innings.
 
Annika Gels struck out five in the complete game victory for Thomas More.
 
Lourdes (0-11) will return home on Friday afternoon to entertain Calumet.  First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 4 p.m. at Gray Wolf Field.
