Lourdes picked up its third win in its last four matches on Tuesday evening, as the Gray Wolves swept the University of Northwestern Ohio 26-24, 26-24, 25-14 inside of Racers Gymnasium in Lima, Ohio.
 
"We kept on battling in the first two sets to get the lead and then played very clean in the third to earn the win," head coach Greg Reitz said after the match.  "We are going to need to focus on continued improvement for our next match."
 
Lourdes hit .310 for the match, committing just nine attack errors on the evening.  Macey Zinser (Bucyrus, Ohio/Wynford H.S.) put down a team high eight kills without an error, hitting .474 for the night while Michaela Eisenhauer (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta H.S.) added seven kills, swinging at a .538 clip.
 
The opening set had 11 ties and five lead changes before the teams were deadlocked 14 times in set two.  Lourdes pulled away in the third, jumping out to an early 17-9 lead.
 
Alli Plasencio (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) led the defense with 12 digs.
 
Aaliyah Alexis led Northwestern Ohio (2-9, 1-7 WHAC) with 13 kills while Dunja Madjarevic had 12 digs.
 
Lourdes (3-6, 3-5) will return home for three straight matches, beginning on Friday evening as the Gray Wolves host Aquinas.  First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
