Having not played a game in 23 months, Lourdes returned to the field on Friday afternoon facing the same opponent from that 2019 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament game and dropped a 23-0 decision to 10
th-ranked Siena Heights at Wildcat Stadium.

"We were excited to finally play in our first game, both as a new coaching staff and as a new team as a whole," head coach
Sierra Wagoner said afterwards.  "We are now able to learn and grow from this first one to keep working hard in practices and future games."

The Saints started quickly, scoring 10 times in the game's first 10 minutes on the way to the shutout.  Siena Heights (3-2, 2-1 WHAC) outshot Lourdes 43-2 on the afternoon, including 36-0 on goal.
Jacque Pappadakes (Rocky River, Ohio/Rocky River H.S.) made 13 saves in goal for the Gray Wolves.

Siena Heights held a slim 20-15 edge in ground balls, with
Emiliana Taylor (Granger, Ind./Saint Joseph H.S.) leading the way with four for Lourdes.  Taylor and
Erin Manley (Ottawa Lake, Mich./Whiteford H.S.) both caused a pair of turnovers.

Lourdes returns to action on Monday evening, traveling to Howell, Mich. to face Cleary.  The opening draw is set for 6 p.m. at Lake Trust Stadium.
