Head Coach Jo Ann Gordon: In her ninth season on the Lourdes bench, Jo Ann Gordon has a 94-200 (.320) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her 19th season overall as a head softball coach, Gordon has a 246-488 (.335) career mark.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 2-0 series advantage against Bethel (Ind.) in a series that began Feb. 29, 2016.  The Gray Wolves won both meetings during the 2016 season, 7-6 and 7-3, in Clermont, Fla.  This will be their first meeting on a school's home field.  The Gray Wolves are 4-2 all-time against Rochester (Mich.) dating back to April 4, 2017.  The Warriors swept the doubleheader in 2019 in Rochester Hills, Mich. 3-2 and 7-3 in the only previous games played on Rochester's home field.  Grace is 2-0 all-time against Lourdes dating back to March 8, 2013, with both previous meetings taking place in Clermont, Fla.  The Lancers won the last meeting between the two schools 4-3 in 2016.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes opened Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday dropping both ends of a doubleheader at Cleary 4-1 and 4-2.  The Gray Wolves offense was limited to four hits in the opener while Ashley Roth struck out three in a complete game effort in the circle.  In game two, Lourdes stranded eight runners on base with Alyssa Ziegler and Megan Richardson collecting two hits each.  Jenna Harris allowed just four hits pitching, and did not yield a run after the opening inning.

Scouting Bethel (Ind.): The Pilots enter the week following a doubleheader split against Huntington at home on Saturday, winning the opener 7-1 before falling 5-3.  Bethel hosts Saint Francis (Ind.) on Tuesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Mahri Younger leads the Pilots offensively with a .472 average and 42 hits while Sydney Anderson is hitting .358 for a team batting .303 overall.  Haley Ragonesi has homered six times and driven in 22 runs.  The pitching staff sports a 7.42 earned run average and opponents are batting .392 against them.  Hannah Frady leads the way with a 7-9 record and a 4.47 ERA.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors have dropped eight straight games after being swept by Concordia (Mich.) 12-10 and 12-1 on the road Sunday afternoon.  Francesca Madonna leads Rochester batting .367 on the season with four home runs and 12 runs batted in.  As a team the Warriors are hitting .254 offensively.  Katie Kelly leads the pitching staff with a 6.46 earned run average and opponents are batting .294 against her in 30.1 innings of work.  As a whole, Rochester's staff sports a 7.79 ERA with opponents hitting .335 against them.

Scouting Grace: The Lancers enter the week following a doubleheader split at Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday, losing the opener 14-2 before bouncing back with a 4-1 win in the nightcap.  Grace hosts Mount Vernon Nazarene on Tuesday, visits Indiana Wesleyan on Friday, and hosts Spring Arbor on Saturday before heading to Sylvania.  Carly Ruiz is hitting a team-leading .390 while Britney Young is batting .351 with three home runs and 10 runs batted in.  As a team, the Lancers are hitting .248 while the pitching staff sports a 7.13 earned run average with opponents hitting .377 against them.  Dori Knight leads the way in the circle with a 1-8 record and a 4.62 ERA in 47 innings of work.

Ziegler Productive in Game Two: Alyssa Ziegler tallied her team-leading fourth multi-hit game of the season in game two against Cleary on Saturday.  She also registered the team's lone RBI of the afternoon.  For the year, Ziegler has raised her average to .234.

Leonard Leading at the Plate: Ella Leonard is the team's leading hitter this season (among players with at least 30 plate appearances), hitting .412 on the year.  She scored a pair of runs in game two on Saturday as well and has reached base safely in four consecutive games entering the weekend.

A Leader in the Circle: Ashley Roth has become a leader in the circle for the Gray Wolves, pitching 30.0 innings thus far this season.  She sports a 3.97 earned run average while registering both wins for Lourdes.  She has struck out 17 hitters.
