Lourdes scored a walk-off victory, 6-5, in the opener of Monday's doubleheader with Grace, but the Lancers took game two from the Gray Wolves 9-2 at Gray Wolf Field.
 
The Gray Wolves wasted little time taking the lead in the opener as Emily Wallace (Thornville, Ohio/Lakewood H.S.) hit her team-leading third home run of the season in the bottom of the first.  With two outs, Kayla Gauthier (Linwood, Mihc./Pinconning H.S.) doubled Kim Waters (Belleville, Mich./Lincoln H.S.) around to third and Waters eventually scored on a wild pitch to make it a 2-0 Lourdes advantage.
 
After Grace tied the game in the third, Lourdes retook the lead in the fourth.  Annalisse Palma (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview H.S.) singled home Gauthier, who tallied her second double of the game.
 
The Lancers plated two in the fifth and another in the sixth to take a 5-3 lead before Lourdes rallied late.  In the bottom of the sixth, Palma and Alyssa Ziegler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) both delivered run-scoring singles with two outs to tie the game at five.
 
In the bottom of the seventh, Ella Leonard (Lorain, Ohio/Midview H.S.) delivered a one-out pinch hit single and Gauthier followed with a single, her third hit of the game.  After a passed ball moved the runners up to second and third, Hailey Cramer (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) singled to left-center to drive in the winning run.
 
Ashley Roth (LaRue, Ohio/Elgin H.S.) earned the complete game win (3-4) in the circle, scattering eight hits while striking out two.
 
Lourdes had 13 hits in the opener, including 10 off reliever Alexis Bergman, who suffered the loss (1-5), giving up four runs over the final 4.1 innings of work.
 
In game two, Grace (5-29) took the lead with an unearned run in the top of the third before Lourdes scored twice in the bottom of the frame.  Ziegler singled home a run and eventually scored herself on a wild pitch.
 
The Lancers tallied four in the fourth, two on a double followed by a two-run home run by Jaden Cardoso and plated three more in the fifth.  Grace added a single run in the seventh to close out the scoring.
 
Lourdes had just six hits in the game, and only three after Ziegler's RBI single.  The Gray Wolves put runners on second and third with two outs in the sixth, but a lineout ended the threat.
 
Madiaon Bremer went the distance for Grace in the circle to earn the win (1-4), scattering the six hits while walking just one and giving up the two unearned runs.  Jenna Harris (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West H.S.) took the loss (0-7), yielding seven runs, five earned, and eight hits in four innings of work.
 
Lourdes (3-18) continues its 10-game homestand on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves host Siena Heights. First pitch in game one of the doubleheader is set for 3:30 p.m.
