Upcoming in Gray Wolves Softball: Lourdes continues a 10-game homestand this week with three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference doubleheaders.  The Gray Wolves will host Siena Heights on Wednesday afternoon before entertaining Cornerstone and Aquinas on back-to-back days Friday and Saturday.

Head Coach Jo Ann Gordon: In her ninth season on the Lourdes bench, Jo Ann Gordon has a 95-203 (.319) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her 19th season overall as a head softball coach, Gordon has a 247-491 (.335) career mark.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Siena Heights holds a 10-7 all-time series edge against Lourdes dating back to April 21, 2013.  The two schools split their last meeting in 2019, with the Gray Wolves winning 8-5 before the Saints won game two 10-2.  Lourdes holds a 5-4 series edge in Sylvania.  The Gray Wolves and Golden Eagles have split 18 meetings in a series that began March 4, 2013, 9-9.  Cornerstone swept a non-conference doubleheader from Lourdes 13-5 and 7-5 back on March 6 at Gray Wolf Field.  The Golden Eagles hold a 6-5 all-time advantage in Sylvania.  Aquinas is 10-5 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began April 26, 2013.  The Saints swept a doubleheader at Pacesetter Park in 2019, winning 9-6 and 6-1.  Aquinas is 5-3 against Lourdes all-time in Sylvania.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Bethel (Ind.) on March 31, falling 10-2 and 14-1.  Hailey Cramer had two hits in the opener while Emily Wallace had two hits in game two.  On Monday (April 5), the Gray Wolves split a doubleheader with Grace.  Lourdes won the opener 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh on a single by Cramer.  Kayla Gauthier had three hits in game one.  In game two, the Lancers downed Lourdes 9-2.  Alyssa Ziegler had the lone RBI for the Gray Wolves.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints are coming off a doubleheader split at Northwestern Ohio on Saturday (April 3), dropping the opener 6-5 before rebounding with a 6-2 win in game two.  Sam Spicer leads Siena Heights batting .434 while Lily Guerra has a .37 average and 16 runs batted in.  As a team, the Saints are hitting .321 on the year.  The Siena Heights pitching staff sports a 3.40 earned run average with opponents batting .275 against them.  Jordan Green has logged the most innings, posting a 6-2 record with a 3.3 ERA and an opponent batting average of .254.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles enter the week having split a twinbill with Madonna on Saturday (April 3), winning the opener 6-3 before falling in game two 5-1.  Cornerstone hosts Aquinas on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Kaitlin Johnson leads the Golden Eagles batting .410 with 12 runs batted in while Sierra Sanchez is hitting .352 with three home runs and 18 runs batted in.  As a team Cornerstone is batting .304.  The Cornerstone pitching staff sports a 5.10 earned run average with opponents hitting .346 against them.  Johnson leads the way in the circle as well with a 4-3 record and a 4.61 ERA.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints head into the week having split a doubleheader at home against Olivet Nazarene on Monday (April 5), winning 9-6 in game one before falling 9-1 in the nightcap.  Jordan Humitz leads the Saints with a .468 average while Darrien Roberts has four home runs and hits .433.  Izzy Dawson also has four round-trippers and a team-high 19 runs batted in to go along with a .429 average.  As a team, Aquinas is hitting .343 while the pitching staff is limiting the opposition to a .294 average with a 3.95 earned run average.  Leah Ash is 4-1 in the circle with a 3.86 ERA for the Saints.

Wallace Providing Power: Emily Wallace hit her team-leading third home run of the season in the opener against Grace, helping the Gray Wolves to the victory.  Wallace also leads Lourdes with 10 runs batted in and four doubles, notching a .500 slugging percentage.  She has a team-high six multi-hit games.

Leonard Leading at the Plate: Ella Leonard is the team's leading hitter this season (among players with at least 40 plate appearances), hitting .381 on the year.  She is third on the team in walks as well, posting a .458 on base percentage.

Getting Wins in the Circle: Ashley Roth has notched all three of the Gray Wolves' victories in the circle this season.  She leads Lourdes with 42 innings pitched and a 4.50 earned run average while striking out 21 hitters.

Getting on Base: Kim Waters has made the most of her 36 plate appearances this season.  She has 10 hits in 24 official at bats for a .417 batting average but has also drawn a team-high 12 walks, giving her a .611 on base percentage.

Showing Speed: Megan Richardson and Annalisse Palma are both a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases this season.  The duo account for six of the Gray Wolves' 13 total thefts on the base paths.

On the All-Time Charts: Alyssa Ziegler swiped her 18th career base earlier this year, moving her into a fifth place on the Gray Wolves' career charts.  She trails Bre Megyesi (2013-2016) by 10 thefts for fourth place.

This and That: All 15 Gray Wolves that have stepped to the plate this season have at least one hit ... Hailey Cramer, Emily Wallace, and Megan Richardson have started all 21 games ... Lourdes has turned eight double plays.
