Siena Heights scored three times in a 2:07 span with under nine minutes to play on Saturday night as the Saints rallied to defeat Lourdes 3-2 at Wildcat Stadium.
The Gray Wolves took the lead with just two seconds to play before halftime as
Emily Johnson (Lapeer, Mich./Lapeer H.S.) fired from distance with her shot slipping through goalkeeper Caitlyn Harwood's hands into the upper 90, giving Lourdes a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Lourdes maintained the advantage until MacKenzie Stenzel went far post on a free kick from 35 yards out with just 8:20 to play to even the match at one. The Gray Wolves kept battling, cutting the deficit in half with 58 seconds to play.
Zoey Trout (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West H.S.) fired a shot that was saved by Harwood, but
Natale Samples (Wolverine Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Central H.S.) knocked in the rebound for her first collegiate goal. Lourdes was unable to find the equalizer in the final minute though.
