Chloe Shaffer (Rossford, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) scored twice for the second consecutive match as Lourdes wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 victory over the University of Michigan-Dearborn at Star International Academy in Dearborn, Mich.
 
Emmy Rodger (Romeo, Mich./Romeo H.S.) made six saves for her school-record ninth shutout of the season, helping the Gray Wolves match the school record for victories in a season.
 
"Even thought it took us a bit to move the ball today, once we did the girls played some quality soccer," head coach Jackie Phillips said afterwards.  "I'm proud of how we finished the back end of conference play.  We are looking forward to the quarterfinals as the team is in a good spot."
 
The two sides played a scoreless opening 45 minutes before Shaffer put the Gray Wolves in front 8:40 into the second half.  Zoey Trout (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West H.S.) took on a defender before slotting the ball across the goalmouth where Shaffer finished.
 
Just under 10 minutes later, Shaffer added her second tally of the match, and fourth of the year, scoring an unassisted goal to give Lourdes the insurance it needed.
 
Lourdes and Michigan-Dearborn (3-8-3, 2-7-2 WHAC) each had eight shot attempts on the afternoon, with the Wolverines' Amelia Strochine making four saves opposite Rodger in goal.
 
Lourdes (8-4-4, 6-4-1) will now wait for the concludes of play on Saturday evening for the pairings to be announced for next week's Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.  Quarterfinal action will begin on Wednesday at the site of the top four seeds.
