Emmy Rodger (Romeo, Mich./Romeo H.S.) made three of her four saves in goal for the Gray Wolves in the first half, but the Lourdes offense managed just two attempts in each stanza, none of which were on goal.
Madonna (7-4, 3-1 WHAC) found the back of the net with 13:09 to play before halftime. Abby Werthman sent a cross into the box that Holly McManus was able to head in for the decisive tally.
The Crusaders outshot Lourdes 12-4 for the match and held a 7-4 edge in corner kick opportunities. Brooke Bruletti did not make any saves in earning the shutout.
Lourdes (3-2-4, 1-2-1) returns home to Wildcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon to host Rochester (Mich.). Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium with Senior Day activities taking place prior to the match.
