After back-to-back losses, Lourdes rebounded in a positive manner on Sunday afternoon, defeating Saint Ambrose 25-20, 25-19, 25-18 inside of Lee Lohman Arena in Davenport, Iowa.

"We put together a much better volleyball match today," head coach
Greg Reitz said afterwards. "We served and passed better than we have which allowed us to be a bit more efficient offensively."

The Gray Wolves forced the Fighting Bees to 10 attack errors and a .000 hitting mark in the opening set. Seven straight Lourdes points gave the visitors an early 8-2 lead and never looked back.

Lourdes then hit .450 and .423 over the next two sets in completing the sweep. The Gray Wolves trailed early in the third sets, but a late 9-3 run allowed Lourdes to rally and earn the win.

Jeff Lam (Richmond, B.C./Hugh McRoberts H.S.) led Lourdes with 13 kills and hit .455 while
Eduardo Ayala (Curitiba, Brazil/Colegio Dom Bosco) added 11 more with a .400 mark.Â
Sawyer Schafer (Monroeville, Ohio/Monroeville H.S.) dished out 32 assists while leading the offense that hit .333 for the match.

Guga Heidrich (Braco do Norte, Brazil/Colegio Unificado) had a team-high seven digs while
Harrison McBean (Melbourne, Australia/Northern College of the Arts) made six blocks.

Jason Bageanis led Saint Ambrose (8-11) with eight kills and hit .357 while Richard Reed had six digs.

Lourdes (12-4) will close out the spring trip on Tuesday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Chicago, Ill. to face 14
th-ranked Saint Xavier. First serve is set for 8 p.m. EST inside the Shannon Center.
