Lourdes opened a three-game road trip on Wednesday afternoon, suffering a 19-3 setback to Concordia (Mich.) at Cardinal Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The Cardinals scored the game's first four goals before
Sarah Przyojski (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) found the back of the net to put the Gray Wolves on the scoreboard.
Concordia (5-7, 3-2 WHAC) closed the first half with eight more goals to take a 12-1 advantage into intermission. The Cardinals continued their scoring run into the fourth quarter, scoring a total of 15 straight goals before Lourdes put the ball in the cage again.
Sydney Duran (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) scored with 3:34 to play before
Jordin Rawski (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) followed with another tally with just over a minute to play to conclude the scoring.
The Cardinals finished the game with a 33-11 shot advantage and held a 28-14 edge in ground balls. Lourdes did finish with a 13-12 edge in ground balls though.
Amelia McCourt (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Bloomfield Hills H.S.) had a team-high five draw controls while Duran and
Lexi Hunt (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May H.S.) each paced the Gray Wolves with three ground balls.
Maddie Wadesisi (Cleveland, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) made seven saves in goal for Lourdes.
Greyson Papp led the Concordia offense with four goals while Nicole Bordo had a team-high four assists.
Lourdes (2-5, 2-4) remains on the road Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Aquinas. The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at the Aquinas Athletic Field.
