Lourdes wrapped up the 2023 season on Wednesday evening, dropping a 25-21, 25-19, 25-15 match to the University of Northwestern Ohio inside Racer Gymnasium in Lima, Ohio.
 
After 15 ties and eight lead changes, the Gray Wolves held a 19-18 advantage late in the opening set when the Racers scored the next five points on the way to taking the opening stanza.  Lourdes was within three, 15-12, in the second when the Racers scored the next three points to double the lead on the way to building a 2-0 match advantage.  An 8-2 spurt by Northwestern Ohio midway through the third allowed the hosts to secure the sweep.
 
Ella Lewis (Scotts, Mich./Portage Northern H.S.) led Lourdes (3-22, 3-17 WHAC) with nine kills in the match as the Gray Wolves hit just .907 as a team.  Katey Stakolich (Parma, Ohio/Normandy H.S.) handed out 17 assists while picking up 18 digs.
 
Kylee McBride (Peoria, Ariz./Mountain Ridge H.S.) registered three of the Gray Wolves' six service aces in the match while Macey Zinser (Bucyrus, Ohio/Wynford H.S.) was involved in three of the team's four blocks.
 
Abigail Martin led Northwestern Ohio (13-19, 5-14) with 12 kills while Aubree Ricketts picked up 12 digs.
