Lourdes registered its second straight victory to open the season on Thursday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves defeated Point 13-4 in a neutral site contest played at Pulliam Stadium in Black Mountain, N.C.

The Gray Wolves started fast, scoring three times in the first seven minutes, including a pair of goals by
Brock Meomartino (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland H.S.). The Gray Wolves increased the lead to 5-1 after the opening quarter before taking a 7-1 lead into halftime.

Caden Louthan (Dripping Springs, Texas/Dripping Springs H.S.) scored the lone goal of the third quarter before
Ben Reidy (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney H.S.) pushed the advantage to 9-1 early in the fourth. The two schools then combined for seven goals in the final 5:12 of the game.

Meomartino finished with four goals while Reidy,
Jake Busta (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad H.S.),
Nick Johnson (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.), and
Tomasz Simeunovic (Whitby, Ont./The Hill Academy) tallied two goals each.

Noah Loth (Fort Worth, Texas/Aledo H.S.) won seven of the nine faceoffs he took and
Jack Bichsel (Westerville, Ohio/North H.S.) made 17 saves in goal while picking up 11 ground balls.

Lourdes (2-0) concludes its spring trip on Friday afternoon as the Gray Wolves face host Montreat in Black Mountain. The opening faceoff is set for noon.
