Lourdes wrapped up its three-match road trip on Wednesday afternoon, suffering a 3-0 setback to Point Park at Montour Junction Sports Complex in Coraopolis, Pa.
Taylir Lynam (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) scored the lone goal of the match for the Gray Wolves, putting Lourdes on the scoreboard with 2:18 to play in the match. For the freshman, it was her second collegiate goal, tying her for the team lead.
Point Park (2-2-2) took the lead just 5:36 into the match on a goal by Holly Pascoe and the Pioneers maintained the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Lorena Montanes doubled the hosts' lead at the 53:47 mark. Pascoe added her second goal of the match with 5:05 to play before Lynam broke up the shutout in the final minutes.
Lourdes outshot the Pioneers 11-8 overall for the match, including an 8-3 edge on goal, but Point Park netminder Gillian Bierhals made seven saves between the posts. The Gray Wolves had all six corner kick opportunities in the match as well.
Lourdes (2-2) returns home on Saturday morning to continue non-conference play hosting Olivet. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
