Taking to the road for the first time in 2023, Lourdes was unable to find the back of the net on Saturday afternoon, falling 2-0 to Bethel (Ind.) at Morey Field in Mishawaka, Ind.
The Pilots started the scoring early, as Audrey Lerch scored just 6:28 into the contest with Jordan Mihut drawing the assist.
The match remained 1-0 Bethel at halftime despite the Pilots holding a 7-2 edge in shots in the opening 45 minutes.
Emmy Rodger (Romeo, Mich./Romeo H.S.) made four of her five saves on the day in the first half for the Gray Wolves.
Mihut set up Bethel's second goal as well, finding Aubrey Vervynckt with 32:15 to play in the match to put the hosts in front by two.
Bethel (4-1) finished the match with a 13-4 shot advantage, including a 7-0 edge on goal. Jael Schubert did not need to make a save to earn the clean sheet in net.
Lourdes (1-1) returns to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Notre Dame, Ind. to face Holy Cross (Ind.). Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Saints Field.
