Lawrence Tech scored a pair of goals early on the way to defeating Lourdes 3-0 at Wildcat Stadium on Saturday evening at Wildcat Stadium.
The Blue Devils struck just 10:38 into the match as Dahlia Jerovsek found the back of the net. Hannah Pagett, who had an assist on Jerovsek's goal, scored one of her own less than six minutes later as Lawrence Tech built a 2-0 lead, an advantage they would take into halftime.
Lawrence Tech (5-2-2, 2-1 WHAC) outshot Lourdes 11-3 in the opening 45 minutes before holding a 10-6 shot advantage in the second half to finish the match with a 21-9 shot edge.
The Blue Devils added an insurance goal with 32:36 to play in the match as Abigail Gray scored. Lourdes was unable to crack the scoreboard, despite playing the final 22:23 with a player advantage due to a Lawrence Tech red card.
Samarah Arendsen (Zeeland, Mich./West H.S.), making her first collegiate start in goal for the Gray Wolves, had nine saves between the posts.
Lourdes (4-4-1, 1-2) will remain home on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Madonna. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
