ADRIAN, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Siena Heights University on Wednesday evening, marking just their second loss of the season.
The road setback dropped the Gray Wolves to 4-2 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play and 7-2-1 overall for the 2024 season.
Siena Heights took control early, scoring two goals in the first half to build a commanding 2-0 lead. The first goal came in the 27th minute, followed by another in the 42nd minute, putting Lourdes in a difficult position heading into the break.
In the second half, the Saints added an insurance goal in the 52nd minute, sealing the 3-0 victory and handing Lourdes their second conference loss of the year.
Despite the defeat, senior goalkeeper Emmy Roder registered a solid performance in goal, making five key saves on eight shots on frame to keep the Gray Wolves within reach.

Lourdes will return to their home pitch Saturday, Oct. 12, when it hosts the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech University at Wilcat Stadium. The contest is set to kickoff at 7 pm.Â
