GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships, hosted by Aquinas College at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Nov. 7.
The men's team finished in 9th place with 257 points, while the women's team placed 8th with 190 points.
On the women's side, the top three teams were Cornerstone (31 points), Aquinas (49 points), and Madonna (92 points), with Lourdes securing an 8th-place finish.
For the men, the top three teams were Aquinas (26 points), Cornerstone (75 points), and Indiana Tech (94 points), with the Gray Wolves finishing in 9th place.
Leading the way for the men's team, junior Liam LeBlanc placed 47th overall with a time of 27:16.47 in the 8k race, helping his team stay competitive through the challenging course.
On the women's side, sophomore Jenna Ramsey continued her record-breaking season, shattering her own school record in the 6k with a time of 22:47.93, which earned her an 8th-place finish. Ramsey's stellar performance not only secured a top-10 finish but also further cemented her place in the Lourdes record books with her new school-best time.
With the conclusion of the 2024 WHAC Championships, both the men's and women's cross country teams have officially wrapped up their seasons.
