Lourdes took to the road and registered its fourth consecutive victory, and third via a sweep, on Friday night, defeating Aquinas 25-13, 25-11, 25-15 inside the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.

"This was a consistent match for us," head coach
Greg Reitz said afterwards. "We were able to stay in system and hit very efficiently because of our passing efforts. We will look to continue this again tomorrow."

Lourdes hit a blistering .652 in the opening set, putting down 16 kills on just 23 swings while only committing one error. The Gray Wolves used a 7-1 run to open up a 15-6 advantage and never allowed the Saints to get closer than seven the rest of the set.

The Gray Wolves hit .450 in set two, but also held Aquinas to just three kills and a hitting percentage of -.111 in the frame. Lourdes led 12-9 before going on a 13-2 spurt to finish the set, scoring the final nine points.Â

In the third, Lourdes swung it at a .519 clip with 16 more kills. The Gray Wolves jumped out to a 10-4 lead and never looked back in winning their 12
th consecutive set over the last four matches.

Eduardo Ayala (Curitiba, Brazil/Colegio Dom Bosco) led the way for Lourdes, putting down 15 kills in just 19 swings to post a .789 hitting percentage. He was one attempt shy of qualifying for the single match record books for hitting in a match.

Joey Bianco (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder H.S.) handed out 37 assists, directing an offense that hit .543 for the night, the second-best hitting mark in program history.Â
Vinicius Lopes (Brusque, Brazil/Colegio Osvaldo Carvalho) added 10 kills.
