SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University women's soccer team (3-0-1) remains undefeated, following a scoreless tie against Bethel University (Ind.), continuing the best start to a season in program history.
A defensive battle throughout the entirety of the game, both teams were scoreless after two halves of action.
The first 45 minutes of play saw Bethel's offense produce six shots, three of which were on frame, to the opposing three total from the host Gray Wolves.
The second stanza was even on shots with each team sending three towards the opposing keeper, however only one from the foot of a Bethel player was on goal. Despite having nine total corner kicks, the Pilots failed to take the advantage.
Defensively, senior
Emmy Rodger turned in yet another clean sheet with nine shots faced, three of which were on frame and saved.
Match Notes:
- Head Coach Jackie Phillip's (62-79-20) is 3-0-1 to start the season for the first time in program history, her best.
- In goal for the fourth time this season was senior Emmy Rodger, who turned in her 29th career clean sheet with the 0-0 tie.
