OAKWOOD VILLAGE, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) — The Lourdes University men's and women's bowling teams turned in strong performances at the AHBA Roseland Lanes Collegiate Open on Saturday, Feb. 8, with both teams earning runner-up finishes.
The men placed second among six teams with a total pinfall of 5,988, just four pins behind champion Erie Community College (5,992). Dayton (5,873), Walsh (5,791), and Kent State-Trumbull (5,776) rounded out the top five.
On the women's side, Lourdes finished second out of six teams, recording a total pinfall of 5,328. Walsh University captured the title with 5,681 pins, followed by Erie Community College (5,313) in third and Ursuline College (5,154) in fourth.
Individually, freshman Dallas Allen led the Lourdes men with an 884-pinfall total across four games, placing third among 38 bowlers. He posted scores of 225, 200, 226, and 233. Graduate student DJ Barton finished close behind in fifth place with an 866 total, rolling games of 236, 246, 182, and 202.
For the women, DeLayna Harvey paced the Gray Wolves with a seventh-place individual finish, totaling 743 pins (191, 159, 225, 168). Dezaray McIe followed in eighth place, knocking down 737 pins with games of 192, 185, 181, and 179.
