Men's Bowling

Men's and Women's Bowling Teams Competed at WHAC Championships

The women finished in 9th, while the men finished 10th.

JACKSON, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's and women's bowling teams competed in the 2024-2025 Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Bowling Championship at JAX 60 Lanes in Jackson, Mich., on Saturday, February 22. 

The Lourdes men's bowling team finished in 10th place with a total Baker score of 2,876 after 15 games. Despite their strong efforts, the team was unable to advance beyond the quarterfinals. The Gray Wolves fell to top-seeded Lawrence Tech in the opening round of bracket play, where all teams were placed into a single-elimination format.

In the quarterfinals, Lourdes faced off against No. 7 seeded UM-Dearborn, and while the team fought hard, they were eliminated after a close series of matches. Lawrence Tech went on to defeat No. 2 University of St. Francis in the finals, winning 4-3 in a nail-biting series that concluded with a 241-238 victory in the final game.

The Lourdes women's bowling team finished in 9th place with a total Baker score of 2,467. Like the men, they faced a competitive field in the bracket play. Lourdes was matched up against No. 8 Siena Heights in the opening round, where they fought hard but ultimately fell short, concluding their tournament run in the quarterfinals.

Indiana Tech took the top spot in the finals, defeating No. 2 Lawrence Tech 4-3 in another thrilling series. The decisive game featured close scores, including a 159-201 performance by Lawrence Tech that ultimately sealed the victory for Indiana Tech.
