Lourdes University men's soccer dropped its Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener on Saturday night, falling 3-1 at Lawrence Tech.
The Blue Devils struck first in the 11th minute when Isidro Ricaurte found the back of the net, then doubled the lead early in the second half on a goal from Pablo Calvo.
The Gray Wolves responded quickly in the 57th minute.
Zack Meunier-Gorman (Sylvania, Ohio) scored his first goal of the season, finishing a pass from
Felipe da Silva (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) to cut the deficit in half. Lourdes nearly equalized moments later as
Martin Coronel (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) struck the crossbar, but the hosts regained momentum.
Lawrence Tech added insurance in the 81st minute on Alexander Prenkocevi's goal to close out the match.

Andre Chavez (Detroit, Mich.) made four saves for Lourdes, while the Gray Wolves generated multiple second-half chances, including a pair of corner kicks from
Tyson Woodring (Toledo, Ohio) and a late header wide by
Jack Pelton (Toledo, Ohio).
Lourdes (4-5, 0-1 WHAC) returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24, hosting Indiana Tech in a 7 p.m. kickoff at Wildcat Stadium.
