Jake DuPree

Jake DuPree was named the interim head coach of the men's basketball program ahead of the 2024-25 season.  
 
As a founding member of the Lourdes men's basketball program, DuPree stands as the only person to have participated in every event in the program's history, whether as a player or a coach. 
 
DuPree began with the Lourdes men's basketball staff as a graduate assistant for the 2015-2016 season, working under his mentor and the program's first head coach, Andre Smith. He was named assistant coach for the 2017-2018 season under the program's second head coach, Josh Gibson. In the summer of 2021, he was promoted to associate head coach during Dennis Hopson's tenure, leading him to the position he is in today.  
 
In his nine seasons with the Gray Wolves, Lourdes has produced 11 First Team All Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference honorees, seven Second Team All-WHAC picks, two Honorable Mention All-WHAC selections, three WHAC All-Freshman Team members, four All-Defensive Team honoree, and most recent, a WHAC Newcomer of the Year. He also coached a pair of NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans.  
 
Lourdes student-athletes have also earned 16 WHAC All-Academic Team recognitions since his arrival, along with 11 players earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. The program has also produced four CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team recipients. 
 
DuPree played at Lourdes, joining the program as an inaugural member in 2010-2011, redshirting his first season before becoming a four-year letterwinner. He served as a team captain as a junior and senior. 
 
An Honorable Mention All WHAC selection as a senior after averaging 9.9 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game, DuPree was also a member of the WHAC All-Defensive Team in 2014-2015. 
 
DuPree was a member of two Lourdes teams that went to the NAIA Division II National Championships, including the 2012-2013 season in which the Gray Wolves won a program record 22 games. 
 
During his career as a player, DuPree was a three-time WHAC All-Academic Team selection, a member of the WHAC Champions of Character Team in 2012-2013, a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team honoree, and a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. 
 
DuPree graduated from Lourdes in 2015 with a degree in business marketing and earned his Master of Business Administration from Lourdes in 2018.
