Megan Murphy joined the Lourdes women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach during the summer of 2018.
In her first two years with the Gray Wolf program, Lourdes set a school record with 11 victories each season and qualified for the WHAC tournament for the first time in program history in 2019-2020. The program produced 10 members on the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and five student-athletes were named NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Murphy arrived at Lourdes after spending a season at Lawrence Technological University as an assistant, where she helped guide the Blue Devils to a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference runner-up finish and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.
While at Lawrence Tech, Murphy coached a NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, two First Team All-WHAC selections, and a Second Team All-WHAC honoree.
Murphy has a vast background in coaching prior to Lawrence Tech, spending eight seasons with Pr1de Basketball, first as an assistant coach and then as a head coach. She also spent time coaching at PlayAll Basketball, working the Mateen Cleeves 1goal1passion camps, as well as providing individual instruction as a private coach.
A 2013 graduate of Madonna University with a bachelor’s degree in general science, Murphy played two seasons with the Crusaders after beginning her collegiate career at Oakland Community College.
