The Lourdes University men's volleyball team was on the road on Tuesday night taking on MAMVIC opponent Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI. The Gray Wolves were victorious in five sets winning 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 15-9. The Gray Wolves improved to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the MAMVIC.
The Gray Wolves dominated in nearly every category statistically on the evening finishing with 16 blocks to the Saints 8. The Gray Wolves finished with 59 kills to 54. Lourdes would commit only 20 errors to the Saints 34. Lourdes finished with an attacking percentage of .317 to .170 for Siena Heights.
Steve Barcus would have a great night setting the ball for Lourdes as he finished with game high 50 sets. Nick DiMarco and Jeremy Wood would both come up big in the kill category as Nick had 24 and Jeremy with 19. Frank Craig would be the big man defensively finishing with 9 block assists. Dillon Lesniak would also come up big with 12 digs on the night.
“We did what we had to do tonight to get the win. Steve Barcus, Nick DiMarco and Frank Craig all came through in the game. It was a good win for us in this conference and especially to get one on the road is always nice” said Head Coach
