Lourdes wrapped up a 14-match road trip on Tuesday evening in its return to MAMVIC East play with a 25-27, 25-18, 25-18, 25-17 victory over Siena Heights for their third straight victory overall in a match played at the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.

Greg Reitz said afterwards. We made some key adjustments from the first time we played them in non-conference action.”
The opening set had 20 ties and five lead changes before the Saints recorded back-to-back kills to end the opening set as both teams hit .414 for the set. Lourdes defense stiffened in the second set, holding Siena Heights to just a .034 attack, while closing the set on an 8-1 run. In the third set it was a 7-0 spurt off of the serve of
Nick DiMarco (Torrance, Calif./South Torrance H.S.). The final set saw a 6-0 run from the serve of
Oliver Cizmazia (Bratislava, Slovakia/Metodova H.S.) lead the Gray Wolves to victory.
DiMarco led Lourdes offensively with 18 kills while hitting .405 for the contest while Cizmazia and
Trevor Lund (Laguna Hills, Calif./Laguna Hills H.S.) added seven kills each.
Steve Barcus (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) handed out a team-high 29 assists and added six blocks defensively as Lourdes tallied 14 rejections as a team on the night.
Brad Miller (Convoy, Ohio/Crestview H.S.) notched a match-high 14 digs on the defensive end of the floor.
“Nick was pretty solid overall for us tonight,” Reitz added. “Brad played very well defensively averaging 3.5 digs per set.”
As a team Lourdes hit .327 for the match while holding the Saints to a .133 clip even after the hot start.
Juan Paternina-Villero led Siena Heights (9-10, 1-8 MAMVIC East) with 18 kills while Tim O'Brien handed out 43 assists. Juan Sierra had 13 digs for the Saints, but the hosts were outdug 39-30 for the night.
“We come home for three matches now,” Reitz concluded. “We need to take care of business again starting Friday.”
Lourdes (12-9, 5-4) will look to extend its winning streak to four on Friday evening, hosting Saint Xavier. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at Springfield High School.
