Lourdes took to the court for the final day of the Fighting Bee Classic on Saturday afternoon playing a pair of matches at Saint Ambrose in Davenport, Iowa.  The Gray Wolves fell to #4 Missouri Baptist in the opener 25-23, 25-15, 25-23 before defeating Emmanuel (Ga.) 25-21, 25-18, 25-16 in the final match of the event.
 
Lourdes hit .345 in the opening set of the match, losing a tight battle, before committing 10 errors in the second set and seven more in the finale. 
 
Frank Craig (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with 13 kills while Garrett Jones (Las Vegas, Nev./Las Vegas H.S.) added nine kills and hit a team-best .353.  Oliver Cizmazia (Bratislava, Slovakia/Metodova H.S.) and Steve Barcus (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) each handed out 17 assists.
 
Defensively Brad Miller (Convoy, Ohio/Crestview H.S.) recorded 16 digs while Jones and Julian Rivera (Bayamon, P.R./Wesleyan Academy) each had two blocks against Missouri Baptist (9-2).
 
Against Emmanuel (4-19) Lourdes hit .284 for the match, including a sizzling .571 with just one error in the third set.  Trevor Lund (Laugna Hills, Calif./Laguna Hills H.S.) hit .455 with a team-high 13 kills in the victory while Jones added 10 kills and a team-best nine digs. 
 
Cizmazia handed out 30 assists over the three sets while Rivera registered two aces and four blocks for the Gray Wolves.
 
Lourdes (9-8) will travel to Banner Elk, N.C. on Monday evening to face Lees-McRae.  First serve against the NCAA Division II foe is slated for 7 p.m.
