Gray Wolves Top Limestone to Close Spring Trip

Lourdes wrapped up its spring trip to the Carolinas on Wednesday evening with a 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22 victory over Limestone at the Timken Center in Gaffney, S.C. for the Gray Wolves third win in their last four contests.
 
“It was great to finish off the trip with back-to-back wins,” head coach Greg Reitz stated after the match.  “Tonight was similar to last night in that we got great play from everyone as a team and everyone contributed.”
 
Nick DiMarco (Torrance, Calif./South Torrance H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with 19 kills and 12 digs while Trevor Lund (Laguna Hills, Calif./Laguna Hills H.S.) added nine more.  Garrett Jones (Las Vegas, Nev./Las Vegas H.S.) tallied eight kills while hitting .700 and Zander Epps (San Diego, Calif./Eastlake H.S.) hit .500 with seven kills.
 
Steve Barcus (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) handed out 47 assists for Lourdes while Brad Miller (Convoy, Ohio/Crestview H.S.) registered 14 digs.  Frank Craig (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood H.S.) tallied seven blocks while DiMarco had five more as the Gray Wolves registered 11 for the match as a team.
 
Kevin Hart led NCAA Division II Limestone (9-9) with 10 kills while Joe Gilliland had 14 digs.
 
Lourdes (11-9) will wrap up its 14-match road trip on Tuesday evening, returning to MAMVIC East play to face Siena Heights.  First serve is slated for 7 p.m. in Adrian, Mich.
