Lourdes continued its four-match homestand on Friday evening at Tam-o-Shanter with a 25-19, 26-28, 25-20, 25-21 victory over Robert Morris (Ill.) to extend its winning streak to four straight contests and remain unbeaten in the Great Lakes Conference.

Jo'Lon Clark (Compton, Calif./Long Beach Poly H.S.) tallied 18 kills and hit .531 while
Julian Rivera (Bayamon, P.R./Wesleyan Academy hit .611, tallying 11 kills without an error to pace the Gray Wolves' offensive attack.Â
Chris Lockwood (San Diego, Calif./Poway H.S.) gave Lourdes three players in double figures in the kill category, adding 10 more.

The opening set was tight early, as Robert Morris held a 7-6 advantage before four straight points by the Gray Wolves put the hosts on top for good. With Lourdes holding a 13-9 advantage, the two teams traded sideouts for the next 19 points, allowing the Gray Wolves to win the opening set. Lourdes hit .458 in the opener with just three errors.

The Gray Wolves appeared to be in control of set two as well, leading 18-11, before Robert Morris rallied. The Eagles scored 11 of the next 15 points to tie the set at 22, and eventually extended the set. A service error and back-to-back attack errors by Lourdes allowed the visitors to even the match at one set each.

Garrett Jones (Las Vegas, Nev./Las Vegas H.S.) and
Steve Barcus (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) each went on service runs in the third set as part of an 11-2 Lourdes run which allowed the Gray Wolves to build an 18-11 lead. Robert Morris tried to rally late, closing to within 23-20 before back-to-back kills by Clark and Rivera ended the set.

Lourdes again built a sizeable advantage in the fourth set, holding a 16-9 lead. Robert Morris came back with a 9-2 run to tie the set at 18 before the Gray Wolves took advantage of several Eagle attack errors to close out the match.Â

Barcus handed out 48 assists and eight digs in the four-set victory while
Brad Miller (Convoy, Ohio/Crestview H.S.) tallied 16 digs. Rivera and
Frank Craig (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood H.S.) each had four blocks in the match as the Gray Wolves outblocked the Eagles 8-6. Lourdes also tallied 10 service aces to Robert Morris' four.

Andre Shaw led Robert Morris (2-5, 1-2 GLC) with 16 kills while Nick Wagner had a team-high nine digs.

Lourdes (5-1, 3-0) remains at home on Saturday evening, hosting ninth-ranked Cardinal Stritch in a battle of the two remaining unbeaten in the Great Lakes Conference. First service is set for 7 p.m. at Tam-o-Shanter.
