Lourdes University's women's volleyball team returned to winning ways on Wednesday evening, defeating Concordia (Mich.) 25-12, 25-16, 20-25, 25-17 at Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Angie Pagan-Perez (Toa Baja, P.R./Bayamon Military Academy) led the Gray Wolves with 18 kills while
Stephanie Richards (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) added her seventh double-double of the season with 16 kills and 21 digs.Â
Mallory Lenhart (Lambertville, Mich./Bedford H.S.) also had a double-double, handing out 22 assists while tallying 21 digs.

"We played really well in sets one and two, but took a step back in set three," head coach
Greg Reitz stated. "I was proud of the way we stepped it back up in set four though."

Lexie Curtis (Toledo, Ohio/Bedford H.S.) keyed a 6-0 run from the service line in the opening set as the Gray Wolves took an early 10-4 lead. Another 8-1 run late broke the set open on the way to the 25-12 win. Lourdes committed just three attack errors in set one while hitting .333 as a team.

In the second, Lourdes never trailed, and slowly extended its lead throughout the set. Richards posted five kills and seven digs in the stanza as the Gray Wolves opened up a 2-0 lead in the match.

With 10 ties and five lead changes, the third set was tight until the end. With the set tied at 18, the Cardinals extended the match finishing the stanza with a 7-2 run. Both teams hit negative percentages in the third.

Lourdes hit .298 with 17 kills and just three miscues in the fourth set to secure the victory.Â
Erin O'Neal (Midland, Mich./Dow H.S.) served up a 5-0 run which extended the Gray Wolves lead to 18-12, and Concordia would never cut the deficit to less than five the rest of the way.

Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) tallied 28 digs in the victory while
Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) tallied six blocks on the night.

Alisha Anderson led Concordia (8-20, 3-13 WHAC) with 14 kills and 13 digs while Julia Szuba added 24 digs.

Lourdes (13-12, 9-7) will return home on Saturday afternoon to begin a four-match homestand, the final one of the season for the Gray Wolves. First serve against Bethel (Ind.) in non-conference action is set for 1 p.m. at Tam-o-Shanter.
