Lourdes had four players score in double figures, led by
Zach Steinmetz's (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) 22 points, and the Gray Wolves cruised to a 90-35 victory over Akron Wayne on Saturday afternoon in the Maple City Classic held at the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.

Steinmetz made 9-of-11 shots from the floor and had six rebounds while playing just eight minutes in the contest.Â
Julian Johnson (Columbus, Ohio/Horizon H.S.) added 13 points while
Aaron Ashley (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights H.S.) chipped in 12 points off of the bench.Â
Noah Guthrie (Glouster, Ohio/Trimble H.S.) tallied 11 more points for the Gray Wolves while
Nick Robertson (Macedonia, Ohio/Nordonia H.S.) added nine rebounds.

Lourdes took control in the first half, scoring 25 straight points to build a 43-11 lead at the 7:25 mark before taking a 57-17 lead into the locker room. The Gray Wolves held the Warriors to just 22.2% shooting in the opening 20 minutes while connecting on 25 field goals and shooting at a 50% clip themselves.

The Gray Wolves led by as many as 56 points in the second half before reaching the final margin. Akron Wayne committed 23 turnovers which Lourdes converted into 34 points. Lourdes also held a 55-27 rebounding edge and turned 25 offensive boards into 28 points.

Jon Hariharan led Akron Wayne (0-3) with 11 points.

Lourdes (2-1) will entertain Kuyper on Tuesday evening in the Gray Wolves' home opener. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. at Tam-o-Shanter.
