Lauren Tilden (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) and
Jesse Fidler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) combined for 42 points on Saturday afternoon, but Indiana Tech held the rest of the Gray Wolves in check as the Warriors defeated Lourdes 67-59 at the Schaeffer Center Gymnasium in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Tilden scored 28 points, making four three-pointers, while playing all 40 minutes on the afternoon. Fidler added 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field in just 25 minutes of action.

Lourdes started quickly, scoring the first 11 points in the first five minutes of the game. The Warriors responded, scoring 19 of the next 21 points to battle back and take a 19-13 lead with 8:38 remaining in the opening stanza. The Gray Wolves answered with an 8-0 run of its own to jump back in front with under five minutes left on the clock. Indiana Tech scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 28-25 edge into the locker room.

The Gray Wolves came out of halftime scoring the first five points, all from Fidler, to retake the lead. That would be the final advantage of the day for Lourdes though, as Indiana Tech responded with five points of its own. The Warriors maintained a one to four point lead most of the way, and led just 41-40 with eight minutes left following a Tilden triple.

Indiana Tech scored the next seven points to start a 14-5 run, pushing the lead to double figures with 2:48 to play. A basket by Fidler followed by back-to-back threes from Tilden and Fidler allowed Lourdes to pull within 57-55 just one minute later. The Warriors held off the late Gray Wolf charge though, making six-of-eight free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Lourdes finished the game shooting 41.2% from the field on the afternoon while holding the Warriors to just a 33.8% clip, but the Gray Wolves were just 12-of-23 (52.2%) from the free throw line while Indiana Tech made 13-of-18 (72.2%) from the stripe.

Jessica Durr (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton H.S.) grabbed 11 rebounds for Lourdes as the Gray Wolves outboarded the Warriors 43-42. Lourdes committed 17 turnovers to Indiana Tech's 12 though.

Baylee Rinehart led four Indiana Tech (6-7, 5-2 WHAC) players that finished in double figures with 17 points while Alexjandra Lopez added 15 points.Â

Lourdes (5-6, 1-5) will return to the court on Tuesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Cincinnati Christian. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. on the campus of Adrian College.
