Lourdes University's women's lacrosse team played its fourth straight match away from home on Wednesday evening, returning to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play, and dropped an 18-8 game to Siena Heights at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich.
 
The game was close throughout the entire first half, with the two schools trading goals.  
Allison Mazey (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton H.S.) scored Lourdes first goal while 
Katie Cerveny (Erie, Mich./Mason Senior H.S.) tallied a pair of goals to tie the contest at three midway through the first half. 
 
After the Saints scored two straight, the Gray Wolves answered with a pair of their own on goals by 
Molly Porterfield (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) and 
Jessie Frost (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton H.S.) to tie the game with 2:59 remaining before halftime.  Siena Heights scored the final goal of the stanza with 1:52 remaining to take a 6-5 lead into the break.
 
The Saints scored the first seven goals out of halftime to build an eight-point advantage before Cerveny scored her third goal of the game.  
Kristi Layman (Toledo, Ohio/Northview H.S.) added her first collegiate goal with 7:19 remaining and Frost added her second tally in the game's final minute for the Gray Wolves.
 
Amanda Kaczmarek (Berkey, Ohio/Evergreen H.S.) made seven saves in goal for Lourdes.  Cerveny had a team-high eight shots while Mazey added seven more.  Mazey also had the lone Gray Wolf assist on the evening.
 
Tabitha Ferguson made 14 saves for Siena Heights (3-3, 1-0 WHAC) while Stephannie Gonzalez scored five goals and added an assist to pace the offense.  Erin Kehn added four goals for the Saints.
 
Lourdes (1-6, 0-3) will continue its current road trip on Friday evening, traveling to North Canton, Ohio to face Walsh.  The game is slated to begin at 5 p.m. at Vasco Field in a make-up of last Wednesday's (March 12) postponement due to snow.
