Lourdes University's men's volleyball team improved to 9-0 all-time against Siena Heights with a 25-20, 25-20, 19-25, 25-21 victory over the Saints on Wednesday evening at the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.
 
With the victory, Lourdes has assured itself of a top two finish in the Great Lakes Conference and a bye into the tournament semifinals next weekend.
 
Despite hitting .320 in the opening set, Lourdes needed to close the stanza on an 11-4 run to earn the victory.  The set had 14 ties and nine lead changes.  The Gray Wolves then held the Saints to just .107 hitting in the second set to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
 
Siena Heights battled back, extending the match with a win in the third. The Saints limited Lourdes to just .050 hitting while tallying a .303 mark itself.  Trailing 19-17 in the fourth, the Gray Wolves closed by scoring eight of the final 10 points to close out the match.  The final set saw 14 more ties before Lourdes pulled away.
 
Jo'Lon Clark (Compton, Calif./Long Beach Poly H.S.) led the way for Lourdes with 18 kills while hitting .306.  Chris Lockwood (San Diego, Calif./Poway H.S.) added 12 more kills and four blocks while Keanu Jacinto (Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon H.S.) registered 10 kills.  Steve Barcus (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) handed out 47 assists offensively.
 
Jacinto led the Gray Wolf defense with 13 digs while CJ Rilveria (Kula, Hawaii/Kekaulike H.S.) added 11 more. 
 
Gilius Blinstrubas led Siena Heights (5-17, 2-8 GLC) with 17 kills while Allanderson Meira tallied 10 digs.
 
Lourdes (14-5, 7-2) will close out the regular season on Friday evening as the Gray Wolves host Cincinnati Christian.  First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Owens Community College with Senior Night activities taking place just prior to the start of the match.
