Lourdes Closes Regular Season with Sweep of Cincinnati Christian

Lourdes picked up its 15th victory of the season on Friday evening, closing out the 2014 regular season with a 25-1, 25-15, 25-18 victory over Cincinnati Christian at the Student Health and Activities Center on the campus of Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio.
 
Jo'Lon Clark (Compton, Calif./Long Beach Poly H.S.) registered a match-high 13 kills while hitting .684, helping the Gray Wolves to a .380 night offensively.  Clark also had five blocks defensively.  Frank Craig (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood H.S.) added seven kills while Chris Lockwood (Kailua, Hawaii/Poway [Calif.] H.S.), the team's lone senior, hit .571 while tallying four service aces on Senior Night.  As a team Lourdes recorded 13 aces from the service line.
 
Bryan Downs (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) started the match strong for the Gray Wolves, serving the game's first 10 points, giving Lourdes an insurmountable lead.  In set two, it was a 7-2 Lourdes run that allowed the hosts to pull away, while in the third set, the Gray Wolves raced out to a 10-3 lead. 
 
Logan Snow had a team-high four kills and 11 assists for Cincinnati Christian (2-20, 0-10 GLC) while Ariel Milo tallied five digs.
 
Lourdes (15-5, 8-2) will serve as the second seed in next weekend's Great Lakes Conference tournament held at Owens CC.  The Gray Wolves will play in the semifinals on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
