Lourdes earned its second consecutive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference shutout victory on Saturday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves defeated Michigan-Dearborn 3-0 at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Mich.
Â
"This was a good first road conference win for us," head coach
Barry Spitzer said after the match. "I thought at times we played really well, created some chances, and capitalized on those chances."
Â
The Gray Wolves found the scoreboard midway through the first half.Â
Aaron Davis (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) took a shot from 25-30 yards out that hit the crossbar.Â
Adilson Darosa (Pawtucket, R.I./Shea H.S.) was there to head the rebound past the Wolverine netminder, giving the Gray Wolves the 1-0 lead, an advantage they would take into the break. Darosa's goal would prove to be his third match-winner of the season.
Â
Less than three minutes into the second half,
Tyrell Chambers (Brampton, Ont./Sandalwood Heights H.S.) fired a blast from 25 yards out to the far post, scoring into the upper 90, giving Lourdes a 2-0 advantage.
Â

Carlos Viganoni (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western H.S.).
Â
Jose Cedillo (Atlanta, Ohio/Norcross H.S.) unofficially made eight saves to earn his second shutout of the season for the Gray Wolves. Official stats were not available as of Saturday evening.
